Paddle for Life is a non-profit organization that helps raise money and awareness for community causes through the fast growing sport of dragon boating. The all-inclusive sport of dragon boating is great way for family, friends, and co-workers to experience a great sport while fundraising. Our goal is to spread dragon boating to new communities while raising money and awareness for great charities in the process. Paddle for Life is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
Founded in 1996, the Bay Area Dragon Boat Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our primary focus is dragon boat racing. Our racing team is known as the Bay Area Dragons (a.k.a. BAD). We have some of the most experienced dragon boat paddlers in Northern California. Bay Area Dragons provides coaching, steering, and general support for our members and local teams.
We offer FREE dragon boat lessons every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Foster City. We provide the life jackets, paddles, boats, and expert coaching. A dragon boat is a 44 foot canoe that seats 20 paddlers.

We are in the Boat Park, the parking lot next to the dog park area. Walk to the water. You will see friendly people and 2 long boats. Introduce yourself and mention this is your first practice.
