fter passing on this race last year, BAD will be returning to Vancouver to compete at the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival. Coming in 15th out of 160+ teams and earning the right to compete in the 2000 m Guts and Glory race in 2005, we're really excited to see what we can do this year!
For those of you that are new to the sport, Alcan is the largest dragon boat race in North America, fielding 160-200 crews from all across North America and as far away as Germany. 9 lane heats against world-class competition in the heart of the beautiful city of Vancouver, B.C. Vancouver is well known for its fresh seafood and BAD had tons of fun going out at night to eat it all! The traditional post-race Sunday night paddlers parties will give you a taste of the camaraderie between teams that dragon boat racing is all about.
